Notes on Love: Stories of Monica and Max - Mike & Tara

Monica and Pete came into our lives shortly after they were married and before Max and Ford

were born. They became some of our closest friends. Monica was always ready for an

adventure and became a surrogate big sister to all those young professionals around her.

AfterMax was born it was clear that he inherited his mother’s love of adventure (and mischief), as well as her love of music. When we would get together to visit, when his mother and father were not within earshot, Max would innocently divulge all of the family secrets. Monica’s love of music was surpassed only by her love for her family. She and Max are deeply missed.

Ford’s establishment of this scholarship honors not only his mother’s and brother’s love of music, but also shows that he inherited his mother’s love for family.
