The creation of the Not Too Late For Me Scholarship Fund is a labor of love and a tribute to two remarkable individuals, Monica Gray Clark and Maxwell Dan Clark. It’s a way to ensure their legacies of creativity, passion, and resilience live on while supporting nontraditional students in pursuing their musical dreams at Ohio University’s College of Fine Arts.
This scholarship was born from personal loss but also from a deep sense of hope. Monica and Max faced immense challenges in their lives, including struggles with mental health, yet they both shared an extraordinary love for music and the joy it brought to others. Monica’s talent as a musician and teacher, coupled with Max’s adventurous spirit and passion for discovery, have inspired this fund to empower others to find their own voice and follow their dreams, no matter where they are in life.
We chose to focus on nontraditional students because their stories often mirror the essence of this fund—resilience, second chances, and the courage to pursue a path less traveled. Whether someone is returning to school after years away, starting a new chapter, or overcoming personal obstacles, this scholarship offers a reminder that it’s never too late to create something beautiful.
How You Can Help
This mission cannot thrive without the support of people like you. Your donations directly impact students who might otherwise not have the financial means to pursue their dreams. By contributing to this fund, you’re not just helping someone pay for school—you’re giving them the tools to bring more music, art, and beauty into the world.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. You can give a one-time gift or become a recurring donor, supporting the scholarship’s longevity and impact for years to come.
Let’s honor Monica and Max’s memory by investing in the dreams of others. Together, we can ensure their light continues to shine in the lives of every student this scholarship touches.
